About Us
The Story up 'til now.....
After years of dealing with allergies, dry skin, and my weight, I decided to start living a clean(er) life. I dropped the gluten, most of the sugar, and tried to get my life on track. While I’m still working on progress, I noticed I still had severe dry skin.
When I say it was bad, what I really mean was embarrassing. Let me just say that it was so bad that my fingertips felt like a cat’s tongue. I would snag everything. I even used heavy grit sandpaper on my fingertips so that they would be “smooth” for about a week. During the winter my fingertips would crack and bleed because they were so dry.
I gave up thinking this was just going to be my life. I had tried all the creams, lotions, sensitive soaps…. I mean all of it. I spent thousands in the pursuit of the ideal feminine soft hands. I oiled, saran wrapped, gloved, and soaked my hands in anything that could have helped. It didn’t. Finally, I decided that maybe I was allergic to soap. I don’t mean I was ready to stop using soap, I wasn’t, but maybe what I was using was the problem. After all everyone is talking about all the chemicals in the things around us, So I started to do the research. I started looking at labels and realized that a lot of the ingredients in normal on the shelf soap was mostly made in a lab with ingredients that are used as degreasers! Degreasers on bodies that are meant to have body oils. Then I realized that I was adding more chemicals to put the moisture back on my skin that my soap had taken off. It was literally the definition of insanity playing out every day in my shower! So, I found the most natural soap I could find and picked up the Dr.’s liquid soap. You know the one, starts with a B and tells you how to HEAL THE EARTH…. yeah, that one. It helped. I would use it, but never felt really clean. Don’t get me wrong, my skin loved it a lot more than everything else I was using before it. However, it seemed to leave a film on everything from the tub, to the dishes, and my clothes didn’t really smell completely ……fresh.
I just knew that there had to be something else out there. I started trying “natural” soaps. Some would work, some would seem to work, but I would be dry later. Some made my skin feel a little tight, and others made me ashy.
What I learned was there are a million different ways to make soap, but nothing was completely right for me. So, I created my own. I consider myself above average with my knowledge of herbs and natural ingredients, so I started with things I thought would help my family and their different skin issues.
We have seen some real results. I can tell you that all of these soaps are thought out for months, researched and tested, and then brought to you to help you find what your skin is looking for.
I make no claims on healing, I don’t do miracles. I just make soap. What I can say is I promise my soap will clean your skin and leave you with less dirt than you started with.
